    Bathhouse Counselling Program - Towel Talk:

    TowelTalk provides free, confidential and anonymous mental health counselling to diverse populations of gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (MSM) in bathhouses. You can drop in any of the participating bathhouses and talk to a professional counsellor if you feel like talking to someone, or you can book an appointment with him at our offices at ACT or in another location such as a coffee shop.     Counselling Services:

    ACT provides free, confidential counselling to anyone who knows someone with HIV, or is concerned about HIV. Counsellors will meet with you at ACT offices, over the phone, or in other locations, such as coffee shops. There is no need to give a real name if anonymity or confidentiality is a concern. Couples counselling, grief/bereavement counselling, and counselling for a partner of someone with HIV, are all available. To book an appointment with a counsellor call 416-340-2437 or drop by our offices. A counsellor is available without an appointment, on a first come first served basis, Monday through Friday.     Gay Men's Community Education:

    We provide HIV and STI prevention services for gay and bi through sexual health promotion workshops/discussion groups that are inclusive of a diversity of men including men living with HIV. Look for our workshops/discussion groups. We also develop information resources that address HIV in the larger context of gay men's health. Totally OutRIGHT is a sexual health leadership program for young gay men. And, we provide sexual health promotion training for service providers who work with gay and bi men.     Gay Men’s Mental Health and Substance Use Counselling at Maple Leaf Medical Clinic:

    ACT’s Community Counsellor spends four days a week at Maple Leaf Medical Clinic providing counselling services for gay/bi/queer men on a range of mental health and substance use issues. If your doctor is at Maple Leaf Medical, you can access this free service – just tell your physician you’d like to be referred to the ACT Community Counsellor at Maple Leaf.
    Gay Men’s Sexual Health and Harm Reduction Outreach:

    We provide sexual health and harm reduction outreach for gay and bisexual men, regardless of their HIV status, at bars, night clubs, events, parties, festivals and bath houses. We also provide a peer support program called SPUNK! for guys who are interested in making changes in their substance use. Visit or call 416-340-8484 ext. 235.     Gay Men's Online Outreach:

    We provide HIV/STI and hepatitis C information and referrals through social and sexual networking sites (SNS). Look for us on a number of sites where guys go to meet other men for sex.     Portuguese-speaking Men’s Outreach:

    We develop and distribute resources and sexual health promotion information to gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men in community venues frequently by Portuguese speaking men in Toronto like bars, clubs, events, parties, bath houses and online. We provide discussion groups and opportunities for community engagement and development through our Ponto de Encontro program, and we have an extensive network of community venues that provide free condom and lube packs. We provide training sessions to service providers in collaboration with other agencies serving Portuguese speaking communities in Toronto.     Women and HIV/AIDS Initiative-Toronto (WHAI-Toronto):

    We provide information, training, and resources about HIV prevention and sexual health to non-profit agencies that provide services for women. By collaborating with WHAI-Toronto, these agencies can better integrate HIV education and support into their existing work. We also develop resources and information on women and HIV and make these available to any agency interested.
