Hazelle Palmer, Executive Director, to leave ACT

25 September 2013

Dear ACT stakeholders, supporters, and colleagues,

It is with mixed emotions we inform you that Hazelle Palmer has tendered her resignation as the Executive Director of the AIDS Committee of Toronto.

ACT has greatly benefited from Hazelle’s leadership on a number of different levels. The Agency has transitioned over the past four and a half years through excellent strategic planning and effective operational changes. Hazelle has created a dynamic leadership team and made strong inroads building relationships with key stakeholders while understanding the essence of what services and programs have been required for Agency users and how they would benefit from change. Hazelle has also been responsible in creating long term sustainability for all areas of the organization through detailed reviews and changes to all departments that have yielded exceptional results.

Hazelle’s last day will be October 31, 2013. She will then be moving to The Sherbourne Health Centre as their Chief Executive Officer. We thank Hazelle for all that she has done for ACT and wish her all the best as she transitions into her new role.

Signed,

Richard Willett and Jamie Slater
Chair and Vice-Chair, Board of Directors
